When someone asks us which city by the sea you should definitely visit in Croatia, everyone gets the same answer.

Zadar!

We love this city! Be it sights like St. Donat Church, St. Mary’s Church, or the Cathedral. These beautiful buildings enchant every visitor with their beauty. On the People’s Square, along with many smaller places, the life takes place. Concerts are always held here and people dance in a good mood on the streets of the city into the morning. Very special and somewhat untypical is the sea organ at the city harbor.

Our perfect evening in Zadar looked like this: first we watched the sunset and then we sat down to listen to the sounds of probably the biggest organ. It works in such a way that the sea water is washed into the holes of the sea organ by the waves, resulting in its sounds. It is definitely an exciting experience and very popular with tourists.

What we love so much about this city, and why we recommend it to everyone, is much more than its beauty. What fascinates us most is the local life.

There is something very special in the air when you walk along the sea and breathe in the sea air. Or when you stroll through the streets and Croatian music is playing all around you. People sing along and forget everything around them.

It is these special moments in Zadar that remind us how beautiful life can be. We just have to allow ourselves to see it from the most beautiful side.
